lennonman   11 #100 Posted October 12, 2007 I used to go to Hurlfield Youth Club in the early seventies. It was a purpose built site just next to the school on East Bank Road. We thought it was brilliant at the time, it had its own kitchen to serve snacks and drinks and it even had a disco with saloon doors which was dark and night clubby! Used to go a couple of times a week, and then straight down to Beckett's chip shop on the Manor Top for supper, maybe calling into the back of Manor Top library to spy on anybody that might be snogging...happy days!!! caronlel   10 #103 Posted October 24, 2007 I used to go Hyde Park Youth Club - think it was Thursday nights and it was something like 10p to get in!! There were pinball machines were at the back of the place on the upper-floor near the café bit and there was a dark room with a TV in it and carpet on the walls!  I used to do gymnastics there too twice a week in the school lunch hour and I seem to recall it had "grown-ups" in there using OUR facilities - God forbid!!
