If you have experience, offer competitive rates to build a good reputation - many jobs will come through word of mouth - I have recommended and used many good tradesman again and again - but those who have not been as good have been banished forever! Good luck.
samsmum
have you tried applying to the council? a lot of the agencies are desperate for decent plasterers, but would you be able to plaster to the standard they would need? my other half is a plasterer and he's bloody good, but its taken him a lot of hard graft and time to get to where he is now. I suggest ringing agencies such as Sherwood recruitment, Dutton, in fact any of the agencies in the yellow pages that advertise construction. Going rate with agencies varies wildly from £7-14/hr ... to being paid per metre (oh paid anything from £3/m to £8/m. agencies might be a good place to start with...or try some of the big construction firms.
