Kingmaker2
Great film but historically a load of tripe Yes but who expects any film apart from recent history to be accurate? Was Gladiator or even Sparticus historically accurate? The new "300" film is a graphic version of the 300 Spartans, so again is hardly going to be accurate. I think there comes a point when people criticize and dissect films far too much and forget why they went to see the film in the first place.... to be entertained. If the film does that then if fufils it's purpose. Braveheart was never intended to be a historical documentory nor do films like Kingdom of Heaven so shouldn't be judged as such. A leaning towards accuracy wouldn't go amiss. Like I said in my post 'Great film but historical tripe.' I also enjoyed U571 telling the heroic tale of the Americans capturing the Enigma machine. Again historical tripe and quite recent, historically speaking of course. Gladiator had no need to be historically accurate, it was a work of fiction.
