hazel
hi Alan I was born on Arbourthorne Rd at no 427. you must have been just across the road. I think we moved about 1949/50 so would have missed you by a year or so. Straight across from me lived Joan Taylor, and a little above lived Ann Taylor. Mrs Gilbert lived next door and next was Tommy Greensmith. Flo Midwood lived in the next house, she used to sing in the Working mens clubs. married name was Twig. Long time ago hazel

JamieCooke
Hello Hazel, recently mum was saying that dad's auntie Flo Midwood was a cabaret singer, this must be her! I have now heard from a lady who has compiled a Midwood family tree documenting g g grandad's survival of the Sheffield flood, but only my grandma Emma and her brother William appear so far - there were 11 of them I believe.
