Apparently it was filmed in Halifax, at first I thought "gah, why didn't they film it here!!" until I heard the reason:

 

"Sheffield looks too modern these days, Halifax is still quite dated and thus ads to the 'period' feel of the film"

Bloody 'ell! So now 'Alifax is in Greater Manc too - is nothin sacred? Where next - Ilkley Moor? :suspect: Or is it just that to southern luvvies it's all the same north of Watford? Speakin of which, how come they had to use Watford schools - if they wanted somewhere archaic they could ave used KES!:D

Im sure they could have found some old parts of Sheffield to film in. :huh:
