sheff6nic
I have got a few car tyres I want to get rid of. Does anyone know where I can take them to be disposed of? My local tip will not take them. Can you take them to tyre garage and pay them to dispose them?
medusa
I can't imagine why they wouldn't take them provided you were prepared to pay their disposal and auditing charge for the number of tyres you're taking in. I'm sure if you went into your local tyre place and asked them ahead of time the worst they could say is no (you won't find any tip or similar that will take them though- there's an approved and audited disposal trail for waste tyres in this country). MuteWitness
i think you have to pay 50p each for them or is it a pound now? I have no idea where you take them though!
UnkleBob
throw them over the wall at a tyre centre, they'll never know... (head in air-whistling...)

Trickle
What size are they? May be someone who would like to use them on a track/drift car. I'd take any 16x 195 - 215's off peoples hands that still have 1mm of tread near the edges (i.e. just below legal so useless on road).
