foxycoxy
I was wondering if anybody knows of any places where I can buy fabric for a college course I am doing. I have tried both John Lewis and Castle Market, but the selection is dire. I am going to the shop in Hillsborough at the weekend. Does anyone know any other places where I can get cheap fabric? Thanks

curlywurly
I would've suggested John Lewis but it's not cheap!! Try Dunelm Mill (think it's on Queens Road), that has a great selection and good value. Also, there's a place in the direction of the Fire Engine Museum called Fabric Warehouse. I'll just check and re-post! curlywurly
medusa
For furnishing fabric, the Fabric Warehouse on Shalesmoor is also quite good.

Strix
there's a little shop at hunters bar, opposite the school, behind Eccy rd, (on the left hand side as you're ging out of town) Dunelm mill? they have a website for locating the stores. Sheffield's is on Queens Rd (ish) but the one in Rotherham, just over the M1 on the A630 is bigger
defstef
There's a place on Sharrow Vale Road that me mam is rather fond of visiting whenever she's in Sheff - I believe it's called Factory Fabrics [edit: I believe this may be the place that Strix refers to]. Also, try some of the asian haberdasheries on Abbeydale Road - there's one called Kashish which looks pretty good.
