Ousetunes
You mean the one on Commonside I presume. It's a large, traditional boozer with a (I believe) full size snooker table. As you enter from the front there's a pool table in your right and a little snug on the left. The bar has three serving areas - snug, central area (which you'd use if in the pool room) and at the back which is where the large room is, itself divided in half into a seating area and snooker lounge. It's a bit of a drab pub but as I said it's traditional so I don't mind that really. I work just round the corner from the Hallamshire but I'd class the Hadfield as my work 'local'. I preferred the Hallamshire when it served original Wards. What a pint it was in there!

Meaks
It aint too bad, half-decent ale normally. A traditional pub but popular with students. The Closed Shop across the road is OK too.
chickywiggle
it's ok. you can catch me there most thursday nights - family fortunes quiz, and occasionnally on the monday for the pool teams match (unless I let me fella go on his own because of a more important event - like washing my hair!) mr.blaze
I've been going in for years, best pub in the area if you ask me. Friendly staff and nice atmosphere, unlike the others around there.
Sauber
The frustrating feature of the Hallamshire House, which seems to be a feature common in a lot of English pubs, is the constant intrusion of television. ------------------------------------ alienware computer http://www.gaming-pc.net

TVs in pubs - Grrrr. If I recall there isn't a TV in the small room at the front.
