I would'nt go with either go with Green Flag I have been with them for 10 years and the longest I have had to wait is about an hour as they use local garages.

When I had AA it was 4 hours wait or longer.

They once came out around xmas time said Oh u have a right problem there and then just drove away FANTASTIC just what you need!

I cant comment on RAC as I havnt used them.

Mental pictures!

I've been with the AA for a couple of years. I was previously with Green flag and RAC. To be honest, IMO, they're all much of a muchness.

All I would say is to make sure you get the appropriate level of cover, you don't want to get caught out.

The RAC are off-shoring their call centre.

I'm not being funny but if I had broken down I wouldn't be keen on the idea of explaining to someone in India where I was....

Had no problems with the AA when I have called them out.

just beware which level cover you pick...the cheapest one for the aa doesnt cover you if you are within a mile of your home address, which isnt much good when the car wont start on the drive!

I am with britannia (you have to be a csma member but you could check if you qualify) and they are alot cheaper than both the aa and rac for a better level of cover.

With the AA for a few years now since buying a subscription as a Christmas present. Up graded to include relay and have used them several times. Once on way back from Selby and called into Meadowhall.....broke down and finished up on the low loader, all the way back to Bournemouth and with the budgie in his cage on my lap. We don't mention Meadowhall any more in this house:hihi: couldn't fault the AA though. Had to do it in three stages and didn't have to wait for the next driver to turn up once. They were there waiting.

Best Christmas present I ever bought IMO.

They say so but I had to call them out when I was at the bottom of my road and they still came out.

Maybe it would have been different if I was directly outside my house though.

I would second that. I have been with Brittania rescue for about 10 years and on the odd occasion I have used them, they have been great.

Try going on moneysupermarket.com and compare the various policies available as there are quite a few:thumbsup:
