Amsterdamned   10 #1 Posted November 13, 2006 Just been looking through the old threads about Americana/Alt-Country so thought i'd better flag up this. From January there's a monthly Americana night starting at Under The Boardwalk. It'll be the first Sunday of every month (starting January 7th), feature 3 live bands, a mix of cracking tunes in between, and best of all it'll be absolutely free! This is going to be run in conjunction with other stuff of an Americana vibe i'm organising, full details and regular updates will be posted here:  http://www.myspace.com/wagonwheelmediapromotion  Are any of the other Alt-Country nights previously mentioned still going? pontious   10 #2 Posted November 13, 2006 That sounds like a damn fine night, Sheffield has been crying out for somewhere to showcase local Americana type acts!!
 Share this content via...
mikey   10 #3 Posted November 14, 2006 There was one running at the Lescar at one time, not sue if its still on though.  This fine city needs something different and this should be a great night.  Can you post what gigs you have lined up on here? Amsterdamned   10 #5 Posted January 25, 2008 Due to the current situation with Under The Boardwalk, Americana Night has moved. From next Sunday (Feb 3rd) it'll now be taking place at The Grapes (still on the first Sunday of every month).  There's a preview for next Sunday's gig in the Nights Out section on here, and also in the blog on our MySpace page (http://www.myspace.com/wagonwheelmediapromotion) and on Facebook here: http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=21341098712
 Share this content via...
