mrplodge
I am sure they are changing the bands soon due to house price rises and no doubt this will be used to increase revenue but why should it. If your house has risen from 40,000 to 100000 over the years you have still paid the yearly rises. Its easy you just change the range of the bands but we all know what will happen don't we. Twitcher
Hmmmm I know exactly what you mean and find this all a bit worrying, when you think about how much you pay each month it's scary
fox20thc
I know for a fact that if they hike the prices up I will end up in court. I can barely afford the council tax at the moment and Im in band A
Nyx
It`s very scary with everything else going up there comes a point when there`s nothing you can do to raise the extra as it`s already been done to pay for the utility rises etc. My wage rise was 3 and a half percent this year and my OH had a rise of just over 2 percent so everything else has shot up way above this. If the wages went up in line with other things it wouldn`t be as scary.
