Ashcroft Posted November 11, 2006 Share Posted November 11, 2006 We are moving house in a few weeks and i've just found out i wont be able to have cable in my new house:sad: i've always had telewest phone/cable tv/broadband for £40 a month. The cable stops about 100 yards from my new house and, if you search the forum, you will find people who are even closer to the end of the cable. The current advert is a joke. 'Connect if you can', or words to that effect. One being shown on this forum in fact. I was and now I'm not. I can't because they don't want to go to the trouble of getting me the service. The hassle of having to change your email addresses and telephone numbers, on top of your house address change. And having to find a new host for your website, if you have one. However, I now have Freeview and BT. My ISP is Plusnet. I know many would say don't touch them, but I've not had that many problems at all. I think, in general, I'm better off without cable, even though I was annoyed that I couldn't get it when I moved. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
