steevie/d
All UK mobile phone numbers now start with 07, but how can you tell what network a particular number is on? To find out, enter a mobile phone number below and press Find Network. The results that are displayed show the original network that number was registered to. Results for people who have changed network providers but kept their old mobile number will be incorrect. http://mnnc.net/

Pseudonym
Thanks steevie/d, the database proved accurate on 6 look-ups so far, so I've added it to my phone IE. By way of reciprocation, another interesting database that you may care to make a note of is This One

HotPhil
Personally I'd be a bit dubious about pumping my mobile number into that website. It may well say it's genuine, but something like that could well be used to get a nice list of active mobile numbers for some kind of premium rate SMS scam. Just a thought. cgksheff
Personally I'd be a bit dubious ..... You are not wrong. The same service could be provided by supplying the first 5 digits only. You can find this information without giving your full number from other websites including ISCTIS. Thanks for that RAC link pseudonym. It was around before and then vanished for a while. Maybe they were sorting out the legal disclaimers.
