medusa
I doubt you'll find plain black velvet in ready made curtains, because black is a notoriously difficult to use for furnishings. It fades really quickly, and shows the dust too, meaning that people are usually dissatisfied with them within a few weeks. If you really want black I'm sure you can either buy fabric and make them, or get them custom made through the people at the Fabric Warehouse, or Rosebys (or lots of other places). BTW- a tip for preserving your curtains if you do get them- avoid washing them whenever you can. Leaving the original fabric dressing on keeps the fabric looking new for longer, and resists fading better. Vacuum the curtains regularly and steam them if they need freshening rather than washing them.

lyndix
Dumelm do a made to measure service, if they have the fabric in (usually have all colours of velvet there) they will make them for a price, can get quite expensive. Other than that, have a go at making them yourself!
NEKRO138
Try Parkview Soft Furnishings in Hillsborough. I had some done by them, and they're great. They come out to your house for consultancy too. I was talking to the woman in the shop and she said she'd done Def Leppard's curtains for their Sheffield houses. Impressed me! Haha.
