Yog Sothoth
Try http://www.railwaysleeper.com/KFrailwaysleepers-currentselection%20and%20prices.htm or http://www.sleeper-supplies.co.uk/productlist.php?searchpostcodeform=true&c=10&chosen_qty=1&change_collection=delivery&pcode=S8+8PD or http://www.justsleepers.com/price.htm They aren't local but I think they deliver (probably dear though) Incidentally The discount DIY store No Frills DIY had some (it's on Fornham St, off Suffolk Road). lalaland
I think Pagets do them, but shop around as Pagets tend to be quite pricey compared to others.
nick2
I think Wards garden centre (outside Cole Aston) had some, but they were pretty expensive. And there is a big reclaimation yard on Abbeydale Road, near a main junction (there is a bank and a pub there) that might have them.
Sticky23
Don't know where you live but I got some from a company at Eckington, Derbyshire. They are from a railway company so they are proper used railway sleepers. I used them for a retaining wall. They are all in good order and have bucket loads of character, not like these you get from garden centres/wood yards. I paid £15 each. Let me know if your interested and I will give you directions. lalaland
It is cheaper to get genuine used sleepers, but remember that the used ones may ooze tar or oil at some point, the garden centre ones while being stupidly more expensive are made not to do so.
