fox20thc
Are you taking part? My son just asked me to watch the video on their website, call be soft but I couldnt watch it all, I felt like crying. He is rummaging around in his room frantically to find toys and books to fill a shoebox because he said he feels so lucky to be in our family and that there are children just like him who have nothing. I'm so proud of him for caring so much..

Chloe123
Yes, I have done two already i think it's a great idea. It doesn't hurt to give them a few toys and some hygiene items.

teeny
This something i have done for many years too !! but the most rewarding thing is when these children get their boxes , their faces are so happy and they appriciate things , thats the simple things like tooth brushes and the toys, My friend went to Romania to give these boxes out and well it changed her out look totally she now runs Ester Ministries and supports Romainian Ophanages. I think its very rewarding

FairyNormal
I've just dropped my two shoe boxes off at my mums this morning. Her church is doing this. We try and do it every year as it costs us next to nothing and means so much to those who have nothing. We did one for a boy and one for a girl and I can only imagine their faces when they open them. Mr Goose
Errrrrrrrrrrr Does anybody wonder why Oxfam, the Co-Op and many other "proper" ethical bodies have severed ALL ties with operation xmas child? I don't want to seem a meanspirited winger, but there are many, many better place to put your charity Try googling them....
teeny
Samaritains Purse is a charity and they do just as much good as Oxfam, world vision and many others Oxfam is good as you can buy families things like chickens and goats ,I had a nanny goat given to me by the family i worked for as i am a nanny i thought it was quite funny
