History of Hillsborough

I can recommend "The Complete Hillsborough by Her People" by Mick Drewry - it should be available locally, and in any event can be purchased from amazon.co.uk. Hillsborough is a good place to live, less than 3 miles from the city centre and with open country a stone's throw away. It has a sizeable shopping centre (with a big Morrisons, also B & Q, Wilko etc.) and some good watering holes. I grew up in Hillsborough in the 50s and moved half a mile up the hill in the 1980s; I have no desire to live anywhere else.
