happyhippy 11 #25 Posted November 13, 2006 Vi farò sapere che sono istruito ad un livello di merito insuperato. Я изучал рыб babel к стандарту а ровному. Tomó tres o cuatro minutos para aprender. No sea tan tan grosero. I could go on, but the Babel Fish site has sadly gone down. 大声で笑うこと Which clearly means you can't ....... nice talking though fella! Glad your hair's clean too ....... richard 10 #33 Posted November 15, 2006 There will be a lot of people : english, french... (and maybe latin ) So I think you will find someone to talk to ! I don't want to speak only in french, I will use english too (and I am french and very shy to speak english... but I have to improve it!!) I have a french friend who lived in the UK for a year in about 2002, she started off shy and had problems with spoken english, but after about 3 months it was easy to understand her. After about 9 months I realised she was incredibly funny. Before then her jokes were lost because I made the assumption that she was making mistakes with her english. She came back to the UK a week or two ago and I spoke to her again and she's lost a lot of what she had, but it just takes practice. You don't need much to get by anyhow. Try these:- "What would you like to drink?" "Can I have a {insert beer of choice here} please?" "Cheers" And for that extra Yorkshire touch. "How much?!"
