Lou
Are you looking for a Mediation service for a specific problem? I've got contact details for a Mediation service between disputing residential neighbours, but (thankfully) I haven't had to use them yet. Is this of any use to you? I'm at work at the moment but I've got their details at home if you would like them?

ducatiboy
Hi had the same thing last year, i went to hallam mediation they are very good and work very hard towards an amicable outcome. CAFCASS will not get involved unless mediation breaks down totally, and they will only get involved if it goes to court. Go the way of mediation if you can, courts are very expensive with respect to solicitors being involved a lot. The worse thing about court is you can both state your cases, the court system is very biased towards the female party, but when the judge makes their decision .... thats it! and it may not be the outcome either of you wanted. Its also very hard on the children too with the parents playing the children against each other. Dont get drawn in its not fair on them. It costs £95 an hour but you can qualify for legal aid. Its not free and if there is a cash lumpsum being paid out in the end, you will have to pay back the legal aid. My ex wifes solicitor spent ages with her and my ex thought legal aid was for free so i had loadsa letters off her solicitor, and when it was all over she got the legal aid bill it wasnt cheap! just a litle point to note there good luck!
