Vulcaneer
I know their are a lot of folk on this site with local knowledge of Pitsmoor so I hope that someone can help. I have an old death certificate with an address that I can't locate. The certificate is dated 1923 and the address is 2 Smiller Lane, Pitsmoor, Sheffield. I've looked on various lists and can't find it at all. Vulcaneer
no1machinist
Could it be 25 miller lane?
Vulcaneer
Hello no1machiist, thanks for the reply. It doesn't look as though it could be that as the 2 is written above the Smiller between the S and m. The S in Smiller looks exactly like the S in Sheffield. retep
I thought that Herries rd was called Piper Lane, are you sure it wasn't an off shoot of that. Smilter Lane was a continuation of Piper Lane, the bottom bit as you go round the corner towards Firvale lights.
