mc55
B&Q were selling off their bananas really cheap (£2.00) but the frost has got to them now. I grew sweet potatoes which were very successful and I tried to grow an Okra plant, which wasn't very successful.
Bago
A colleague bought a few exotic palms. They're quite hardy. It's become quite an architectural statement in his paved patio garden. The most exotic plant I've bought is the Living Stones. Loves pretty in my window sill.
neeeeeeeeeek
I have a Kaffir lime leaf tree, a Sparmania Africana (they have one in the winter gardens), a 20 year old peyote and various Bamboo's I have a few couple of palms and cordylines outside, nothing overly exotic but I like them. A mate is well into his tree furns, I would quite like some of those but they are bloody expensive. He is planning on doing another trade order from some exotics place early next year, they have a minimum order of about £1000 so I am hoping to try and grab some unusual plants to help bump the order value up a bit. Your more than welcome to join in! I grew a great Datura plant this year, massive trumpet flowers that are really fragrant and open at night. Not a very good picture but you get the idea. http://s2.photobucket.com/albums/y48/trumpmuffin/?action=view¤t=stuff279.jpg&refPage=&imgAnch=imgAnch1
Bago
I can't remember the name of the palm that my colleague grew. I just remember that it was a pretty nifty thing, since it gew from a large pot, and it's only been a couple of years to reach a decent size from a young sap. Yog Sothoth
I love exotics. I have a Gunnera which I'm hoping will grow massive next year. It's not very big now, but it seems healthy enough.
