scmeakin
I was only documenting our own experiences, there was no need to be rude. We don't get out much, if that is evident from what I say, then so be it. I'm glad you both like the restaurant. We didn't. Please don't be horrible. PeteM01
I took my son (aka gourmet boy) for lunch there quite recently. A selection of steamed dim sum and plates of whelks, jelly-fish and soft-shell crab, washed down with green tea diet coke, came to about £25. Not the cheapest place, but great food and several menu items I've not seen in many other places in Sheff. It is probably not the best destination for veggies or young children who can't/won't share their parents' dishes but hindsight is a great thing. When our kids were younger we just ordered extra rice and a few things like spring rolls and then let them taste a few things from our plates. Much cheaper, and gets them away from things like chips. anywebsite
Thanks Bago! I am veggie for religious reasons and so utensils that have touched meat doesn't sound too great. I really want to try some dim sum though! I tend to avoid chinese food mainly because I find the veggie food isn't all that, just some vegetables with hardly any taste. I only recently started eating it after discovering a Budhist chinese resturant in London which is amazing. I was trying to convince the woman to open up a branch in Sheffield but she just laughed at me They use a lot of tofu in Chinese food & have some spicy sauces for it, but if you can't handle it being cooked with the same pans & utensils that have touched meat, then you should cook it yourself. evildrneil
I've been and enjoyed it - but I would consider it more an experience than a meal out! It's fun and you get to try many things you probably wouldn't find anywhere else but I certainly wouldn't take anyone who is at all picky. Oh and chicken tripe" was a real learning experience!
