I still remember how I'm subjected to a 'cruel to be kind' parenting style, but was never told why or where I went wrong. I still think of that and shudder. Then apologise for flying off the handle. Big hugs, remind her shes got nothing to come cash wise for a while and let that be an end to it. That's exactly what I was going to suggest!
