NEKRO138
You think I was to harsh then ?? :( Yeah but don't worry about it. Banning your kids from Meadowhall is superb parenting anyway. And at least you care. Most kids these days have to break an OAP's neck before they get grounded.
exile
I think it depends on how she did. If she got any top scores you should have given her £15 more. If she didn't I'd have considered sending her away for a period of six to eight months.

Skatiechik
Personally I think £15 is far too much money to be giving a child for a day out. However perhaps I was bought I differently too others? I don't think you have been too harsh, it is better to teach your child how to spend money appropriately than let them gamble. There's only one way you can make it up to her. Giver her another fifteen and send her to Meadowhall.

Go and see her, tell her you were disappointed that she blew it in the arcades and that you always thought she was more sensible. Then apologise for flying off the handle. Big hugs, remind her shes got nothing to come cash wise for a while and let that be an end to it.

Just tell her you're sorry. Really, it's not that bad. I used to get told off for nothing all the time as a kid. Go on, pat her on the head and give her a chelsea bun.
