Rather like buses next time you travel by bus just watch the Chavs they always make a bee line for the back of the bus.
kittencapes
Yeah being small I find them quite intimidating as well to be honest! It would seem the era of the chav has arrived and is showing no signs of leaving...signs
Eleke95
There's a group of losers hang around the shops at Wisewood (next to Wisewood school) near my mum's house. Stoning the buses and generally making every-ones life a misery - has anyone encountered this group of delinquents yet?
Faye12
Yes there are groups all over unfortunately, some may not want to cause trouble etc but they can be very intimidating all the same.
peacenlove
no i don't feel intimidated by them at all, they're like dogs, if you show fear they will attack, so you've just got to not be bothered by them and if you are then don't let it show. keep your head high (but don't look down your nose) and walk past

munky
Yeah being small I find them quite intimidating as well to be honest! It would seem the era of the chav has arrived and is showing no signs of leaving...signs Local youths have had a variety of collective names through the years and the level of "threat" has never changed. Chavs, Youff's, Natives, Skeffs, Neds, Young 'uns. . It's a necessary part of thier development, they are usually so lost and deviod of personality and charicter that they find solice in congregating with others of a similiar disposition. Like a peacock displays feathers to look menecing, they simply sit and stare blankly in groups around places they are naturally going to encounter a single individual, as the group can only deal with one or two persons passing them by at once. They are known to grase in Parks and school yards at night either smoking or drinking the cheapest materials available in the UK. There numbers range between 5 - 9 members in a group and the more members, the more insecure the members usually are in themselves, as the saftey in numbers rule makes them feel more secure. You can usually find one member that is marginly ahead in the development process and most of the other members look up to him. If you manage to identify this member (quite easy, either they're holding all the smokable and drinks or are loudly demanding they're return to them, ("I brought it, so gizz-it 'ere!!). They pose no actuall threat at all, as anyone who is totally confident in themselves are, in fact, an idol to the group as they are all desperatley need of an Identity and personality. Individual members may occasionally shout out at passers by, lob litter or generally be some form of pain in a desparate attempt for recognition from either the leader or passer by and if you ignore these taunts, then this is playing right into their hands as they don't want any form of re-action. They specifically want you to do nothing and just put your head down and look away, as this give the sence of achievement "Look at that, I knew they'd do that, they didn't say nuffing, they darent'!" etc. . A simple rule to remember, if there are 6 of em, then the've got 1 sixth of a personality each. With this information, you can now go out in the street, hold your head up high and know the psycology behind there pointless congregation and I would hope that you all take this advice and stop acting like victims before owts even happened. fox20thc
When I was a kid (back in the day) we all used to hang around on the end of the street under the brightest streetlamp.. if they are behaving themselves why worry. Where should they go?
