nick2
7 is a good film, the ending is a bit predictable but the rest is good. I think it inspired the very sub-standard Saw franchise.
Carmine
7 is a good film, the ending is a bit predictable but the rest is good. I think it inspired the very sub-standard Saw franchise. Anyone else amused by the fact that Saw seems to think that it's an intelligent horror/thriller when in reality it's a below par excuse to indulge in gore and violence with no real plot or purpose at all? Take the first film; you really want me to believe that the killer was lying on the cold hard ground and not moving a muscle all the time they were trapped in that room? Utter b*llocks. And did anyone care when it turned out to be the guy with terminal cancer? BTW: If you haven't seen Saw, I didn't just ruin it for you, I actually saved you wasting time and money on a p*ss poor film.

The Mush
I actually really liked Saw - thought it was the first genuinely clever film of that genre since Seven. I haven't seen II or III but have it on really good authority that they are rubbish!!

The Saw films do remind me of the Nighmare On Elm Street and Friday 13th films, you only watched them to see what imaginative ways to kill people they had come-up with, you didn't have to think about it, it was just violent/gore entertainment, once the film finished you completely forgot it. Most people would be realy dissapointed if the "victims" managed to get out of the traps in Saw.
FallenAngel6
i liked nightmare on elm street but out of all the horror films i have seen the ones that have really freaked me out are. The grudge, the people under the stairs, invasion of body snatchers, the fog (old one), Silent hill, and the hills have eyes...but that was only a little bit. I'm not allowed to watch Saw or Hostel...apparently they are too sick and shouldnt be shown. From Fallen
