I have a Canon power shot S2 IS and i think it is a great camera, the bit i like best is it has a swivel veiw screen on the back so you can take pics at strange angles and still be able to see it.

Yes - also got to stress that digital zoom is pointless.

 

I have a Fuji S7000 - it's an excellent SLR (Single Lens Reflex)

 

That's not an SLR at all - SLR styled maybe but it can be described as a 'bridge' camera.
