A nice cigar...for a mate

Recommended Posts

Mate's 19th this weekend and I was pondering over what I could get him, then it hit me, he loves a nice cigar. So I was wondering if anybody knew any speciality stores that sold a nice cigar like Monte Cristo's. Cheers.

I can't think of any shops what specialize in cigars but there are a few bars in town that sell them now. Cubana off West St used to have quite a

decent selection and I'm pretty sure the Wig & Pen sell them as well.

F G Thomas - The Pen Shop - on Surrey Street used to have a good selection. Not looked for a while though. I think Ruskins sell a range of Cuban cigars but not sure about Montecristos. If you can find one, you could get a Cohiba robusto - the cigar of choice for Fidel Castro!

Fidel Castro gave up smoking cigars some years ago now.

So no more antisocial habits for Fidel then. Unless you count human rights abuse...!!

It's his Birthday so you decide to help him to step yet even closer to his grave?

There used to be a tobacconist down near Castle Market. Exchange Street?

Oddbins on abbeydale actually have a reasonable selection, but I can't attest to the quality of their storage, which I gather is crucial.

I agree with some of the previous postings, the tobaconist shop near the markets has a very good range:thumbsup:
