Hotel wedding coordinators

When looking for somewhere to plan my wedding one of the ain points that swang it for me and my parter (as we live a good 3 hours away by train from the place we are getting married) was hotel staff that would do ANYTHING they could their end to make the day run as smoothly as possible.

 

We found the place that fitted all the cruitera, and the wedding coordinator there was SOO nice - we were sending e-mails back and forth all the time confiming things, asking questions etc and would always get a reply within a day!

 

Then suddenly in August they stopped. I didn't think anythig of it - mayb my e-mail never got there, mayb she was really busy. So I e-mailed again today and my e-mail bounced back as underliverable. So I look on the website and it appears to have a new co-ordinators name on there and my one seems to have vanished into thin air.

 

Am I wrong to think it would have been nice for the hotel to let me know of this change as it is quite a major part of the day if the new person is useless/ won't do what I want etc. As my wedding isn't till next July most of the preperations (except the major - food, guest numbers etc) were only verbally talked about - nothing on paper. So I guess my next question is what if she won't do things I want (rhe last girl would do ANYTHING - within reason), won't listen to me or answer my qustions etc?

 

Has this happened to anyone else?

 

I guess the only thing I can rely on is that I have et the debuty manager and she was really nice.

 

Sorry for the long message I just feel really let down by this hotel at the moment.
