personal5579
I have my TV (essential package) Phone (123 package) and Broadband (2MB) with Telewest, but recently my Bills seem to have rocketed. The strange thing is, my telephone usage is still low.It seems the my basic charges line rental etc have shot up in price. I would like to switch to another provider regularly to get a better deal, but I cant change to another provider for these services as the previous owner of my house cut the BT telephone wire from the telegraph pole to the house - this means if i want another provider I have to initially switch to BT - but they insist they will charge me full installation price (over £100) which i really cant afford. Help please!

Allen
I recently contacted telewest, asking why they don't notify existing customers of new options......after I realised they do a free TV package with every line rental. I was paying £11.50 a month for the essential package. I now have the free TV package, and still get 30 channels to pick from. They also offered me 50% discount on my phone line rental for the next 3 months.....plus they reduced my "talk unlimited" package to £7.50 a month for the next 3 months. (usually £16.50). I have the 2mb broadband, but no reduction for that. Just got my bill for £12.83 this month after a £21 credit. (usually around £60). Well chuffed! savbaby
is it true you have 2 stay with them 4 12 months Yes , any new product you take has a 12 month subscription.. It would be well documented on the contract
mattysheff
You can't expect them to notify all there customer about a product thats free of charge. At the end of the day there a business and they are there to make money. If they told all there customers about a free TV package and everyone moved they would soon be bankrupt. And anyway the Free Tv service is only to compete with FreeView and you only get one more channel that freeview, so whats the point, when you can get starter for £5.50 with more channels
satman2222
If your property has ever had BT service, they should reconnect it for free, no matter what wiring needs doing to get it working. They should have evidence of previous service on their computer.
Allen
I don't expect them to notify users of a free service, and agree they are in business to make money like all companies are. My point was that if you contact them, they will listen and help if they can. My savings may be short term, but owt's better than now't...as they say.
