Grotesquely behaved child in town

Recommended Posts

In town today I saw a child chasing around a very old injured looking pigeon, he then started throwing pebbles at it - i went over to ask him to stop and his mum marched over and had a right go at me for disciplining her child - i was fuming, why do people have no morals!

People who don't allow other adults to discipline their children (and even complain in front of them) are saving up big trouble for the future. My children would have got into twice as much trouble if another adult tells them off, once for being naughty and once for another adult telling me. But you can't call the child "grotesque" is this is not a word relating to behaviour except possibly if that behaviour is completely out of place with the outward appearance.

i know grotesque is a little harsh but honestly i was so angry, seeing the pigeon running away as fast as it could, yet it must have been ill as it didnt fly away

Poor pigeon :( . What a shame that child's mother doesn't appear to be teaching him to have more respect for all forms of life. She should have stopped him immediately and explained why it was wrong, of course. It's the same with simple little things like throwing litter and looking after your own little bit of the environment; all should be taught from an early age by a child's parents.
