Treatment
There is/was a Memorial Black Metal plaque, about 8 Foot high by 4 Foot wide, on Effingham Road, just before the Junction with Staniforth Road, for people killed by a Zeppelin attack in World War One. It was as '' Black as your hat '' because of pollution. Last saw it about 20 years ago, might still be there though. Worth a ''Sneck ''. What on earth is a '' Sneck '' ? Cheque please. GrinderBloke
A little different but does anyone remember the sign for Mudfords Tents and Tarpaulins on the Wall near to the Durham Ox pub on Cricket Inn Road? I'm sure it survived well into the 1970s
