Twins one white one black

Recommended Posts

Well then, that's over 60 pairs in this country alone .... two in a million really I suppose as they're twins :hihi: Not what I'd call rare, exactly. Strictly speaking they're both mixed race children, not black and white.

Just to point out, as no one seems to have mentioned, they are identical twins, not just twins, which adds to the unlikelyhood.

The chances of identical twins being one black one white, is extremely rare.

To add to above post, that's one in a milion pairs of twins, not of total population.

The term "identical twins" is used to denote twins which have developed from a single fertilized egg (as I understand it).

that's right, bandylegs.

In certain, extremely rare cases, you could actually have identical twins where one is a male, and the other a female, if there is a glitch in the genetic makeup of the female child.
