Do you have a cleaner? Advice please

Recommended Posts

I've been mulling the idea over for the last few weeks about getting a cleaner - I don't have time or energy to do it.

Does anyone have a cleaner that can just give me some basic answers to the following....

How long do cleaners normally get booked for in residential houses? Is it per hour or per job or session?

What do they get paid?

Is it better to get one through an agency? (I've heard horror stories about cleaners coming along and then stealing things)

Where is the best place to find a trustworthy but GOOD cleaner?

Do cleaners do anything or do they tend to refuse certain jobs?

Long shot question - if something gets broken, what does the cleaner normally do?

Any info/suggestions/offers to clean are welcome at this point.

Yeah, i have a cleaner and they are very good. i'm a student but live in a shared house and our cleaner comes out twice a week. Ours charges bout £10/hr and that's thru an agency. The agency replaces anythin broken by the cleaner. Try them nubroom cleaners 01142748385

We have recently employed a cleaner too. Basically cos my other half complained i wasn't pulling my weight & quite frankly I couldn't be bothered.

We pay £8/hr & the cleaner comes once a fortnight for 2hrs. It was a word of mouth contact we were given.

Best £32/month we have spent. It's so nice coming home to a clean house (once a fortnight!)
