dave.stan
I was at Brook, left in 1966. Dont remember a lot of trouble with any of the local schools. Those that came to Brook from Athelstan had been at school with a lot of the people from Beaver Hill, so no trouble there. I cant remember any trouble with Woodthorpe either. I do recall Waltheof having realy good football and rugby teams.
RUSSMDL
Yes we went on strike due to the fact that we were p!$$3d off that the teachers kept going on strike and disrupting our lessons, if that makes sense. It was ridiculous, we would have lesson, then be told the next one was cancelled, so go home but come back for a lesson in the afternoon. I think today it would be called Scandalous, and would make the headlines of the Star. At the time I think it just made page 7 of the Brook Mag magazine we used to produce in "Day 5". Anyone else remember the Brook Mag?

Bloomdido
Looking at some of the posts on here, the standard of education can't have been that good. The teachers in the English department were a bit strange. Remember Mr Lax? I recall rucks with City School in 77/78 but not the magazine.
