hector_ilium
Anyone have problems parking on Industry Street in Walkley (or South Road for that matter), with those tossers in the garage at the top of the road that seem to think the entire neighbourhood is their forecourt??!! bendus2
Would imagine that it would be a good idea to contact the council. Unfortunately I do not know what the most suitable department would be.
H.P
It maybe worth looking into that, Especially when the roads are coverd in oil and stuff from the cars being worked on..
fluffy&pink
They probably wont care, i live on Duncombe Street in walkley and the other week there were 5 or 6 vans parked on the pavement down our street and you couldnt get round them without walking on the road. I rang the council and they said that if the vans were causing an "obstruction" i had to call the police!
scottf
if all the cars are taxed then i doubt there is anything u can do about it?
Tomataheeed
if all the cars are taxed then i doubt there is anything u can do about it? Ask for a residents parking scheme and put them out of business ?

It's not about caring, the Council have no powers to enforce obstruction, only the Police can do that.
H.P
Yup it's about right, I have had to call the police a few times to have lousy parked cars removed from the front of or on my drive. I think if enough people apply to have residents only parking the councill will assess the situation. Now a garage working on a car in the street is a matter for the council to deal with,
