Rocklegend
I have seen maps of the Greystones area pre 1953 before the housing estates were built on the nurseries but have never seen any photos. All I can find is pics of the cottages at the bottom of Greystones Rd.As far as I'm aware there's nothing at PictureSheffield. Can anyone enlighten me? algy
I don't think there's much, try searching PictureSheffield for Dove Houses (or Dove Common?) which was just off Greystones Rd and demolished around 1900. There's also a pic of Ecclesall Rd at Greystones which was just a lane, not dated but before 1905.I think the simple answer is there wasn't much to photograph except fields! (Just had a look and there are 67 on Picturesheffield!)
Plain Talker
if you go to the local studies library inside the central library, they have a vast array of old maps of Sheffield and its surrounds, where you can see the street/house plans, (And of course, fields and allotments etc! LOL)
