Hi,

This is something that's been raised and that Geoff's pondering. I've expressed a great interest here as well - the main concern was to try and make sure that it had a 'Sheffield' feel to it.

I think that there's a lot to go on - local receipes, local suppliers, etc.

I can see an overlap with 'Gardening' coming on here ;)

Like the knitting group? (not criticising knitting at all - I read the posts and marvel, safely needle-less!)

I'd love a cooking/food/recipe forum!

There is a distinct possibility that the two could be beneficial to each other, especially where the more obscure fruit and veg are concerned.:)

Another thing that I feel would be good, is for it to be used for differing cultures who use the board to be able to put recipes on from their own country............Lestat, where's the recipe's you used to put out?

Several people have asked for recipes recently for various things, so I wondered what the interest level would be for such a group.

Unusal (? mebbe?)

Desserts (please no vegetarian desserts: who ever heard of bacon sorbet?)

Heston Blumenthal's restaurant 'The Fat Duck' serves Smoked Bacon and Egg Ice cream and Sardines on Toast Sorbet.

Check out the Tasting menu.

If anyone has £90 to spend on me, then they know what to do!
