Dont hold yer breath - its been a month since Geooff gathered info on proposed Photography forum and nowt has happened yet ? Mind you there is a place holder for a 'craft forum' - wonder whats going there ?

Got to say it would be good. If you're looking for something to make it Sheffield specific, then reviews of restaurants/pubs etc., is a start, but maybe something about where to source specialist food locally, or where unusual food can be bought? Local food history, handed down 'secret' recipes, .......

Exactly what I came here to post, actually! Just spoke with geoff and this was his main concern, I think.

 

So, way forward - we need TWO people who will put the time and energy in to looking after the group, were it to be started off. I'd be interested in participating but wouldn't want to get involved in the day to day running of the place.

 

Get the names agreed, and email Geoff with a rough idea of numbers interested, how this section will be 'Sheffield specific' enough, what content might be expected, etc.

 

Let's pitch it that way!

This is something that's been raised and that Geoff's pondering. I've expressed a great interest here as well - the main concern was to try and make sure that it had a 'Sheffield' feel to it.

 

I think that there's a lot to go on - local receipes, local suppliers, etc.
