Moving to Sheffield from London advice re renting property

I am moving from London to Sheffield, I will be viewing some properties to rent on Saturday. I would be grateful if you could advise me if they are nice areas to live in.

 

Parklands

Wisewood Road, Wisewood close to Malin Bridge tram stop

Shenstone Road, Hillsborough close to Leppings Lane

I live near the city centre, I would say the nice areas are:

 

Eccelsall (Road)

Broomhill

Hunters Bar

 

and they're built alot of new appartments in teh city centre.

Parklands I would not reccommend. I don't know it from personal experience but it is on/near the Manor which Sheffielders know by reputation!

Shenstone Rd is at the Middlewood end of Hillsborough. It's OK there but very near the Wednesday ground so it's difficult to park on match days. It's quite near the supertram so that's a plus point.

Wisewood Rd would be my choice of all of those. It has got some lovely countryside within an easy walk and the Supertram near which is great for going into town/Meadowhall/train station etc.

 

If you put in 'Manor', 'Wisewood' and 'Middlewood' separately into 'search forum' on the left of the page, posts will come up giving you more info about those areas.

Thanks for the advise, Parklands does not sound very nice luckily I found this website !! I think that Wisewood is probably the best option

Ecclesall, Fulwood and Dore are all nice.
