saxon51
Try weeing onto a tissue and give it a good wipe (the windscreen with the tissue). I had the same problem just a few weeks ago and its now sorted. Although my car does smell a bit of wee. But it soon wears off. Hmmmm. That's how we used to get rid of ice from windscreens in the army. And come to think of it, we never had greasy screens. Mind you, our willies were frozen stiff for a few hours afterwards. artisan
I found that screwing a news paper up onto a ball and rubbing the inside of the screen with that worked. God knows why it worked, i can only assume its something in the ink but it worked fine for me. people forget the crap that builds up on the inside of the windscreen. This is from our breath etc, also never wipe condensation off with your hand. This puts a layer of grease on from your skin, which will lead to blurring in the dark mornings. The newspaper soaks up the grease, and leaves a reasonable surface underneath. When all else fails, get a new windscreen, it is like heaven. hagardriley
Hi, in this damp humid mornings I have a stubborn layer on the outside of my windscreen that makes it almost impossible to see, my windscreen wipers dont help (infact after a wipe the following 10 secs looks worse) and my screen wash dont help. Can I get any tips on how to remove this ? Only thing that works is having AC on coldest while focused on the window, but it soon gets chilli for me. Try 'Clearalex' tablets in your washer bottle. I think you can get them from Motormania. Absolutely brilliant, leaves the screen crystal clear. Best thing I ever used.
