personal5579
Hi, taking my baby girl to Childrens in the morning. How is the Childrens Hospital for parking or should I just catch a bus (several of them actually).
Plain Talker
parking round there is a nightmare, you'd be best saving yourself the hassle of finding a parking spot, and use the bus! by the time you are parked, you'll have passed your appointment time! Trust me!
bluesandtwos
Ditto that!. you will end up doing battle for parking with staff from three hospitals, the university, the more wealthy car-owning students and other visitors. get the bus or tram, be a lot easier
never wrong
if you have to travel on several buses get as close as you can by car near a bus stop where you can catch the bus to the childrens hospital can I suggest you park somewhere near norfolk bridge and get the 52 bus plenty of places to park free and also reasonably safe
princessL83
You could Park at Meadowhell and get the tram if that's convinient- or the nunnery square park and ride
scoop
I agree with never wrong. Parking at SCH is awful, I'd try perking somewhere along one of the bus routes that serve either the childrens or the hallamshire.
Deepak_S7
there are plenty of bus stops around the kids as i recall Why put yourself through the stress of driving? Unless your child is ill in which case you will have a blue badge so your sorted good luck deepak
astronaut77
Hi, i've been at the Children's today. I tried to park in their carpark and waited aaaggggggeeeess then gave up. Then drove down to the Hallamshire multi storey and got parked straight away - much easier and only a 2 minute walk away. Otherwise, I agree with everyone else - public transport! Just a nightmare when its several buses and you've got kids. Good luck!
bluesandtwos
RHH carpark is an option, but you will end up queing at 9-10 am and from about 2pm, outside that, you should get in (you do have to pay though)
Marber
You could also park at Crookes and get the 52 or try around Broomhill first and walk. It is only a 5 min walk from Broomhill - I used this option as my son had many stays in the hospital and using public transport took too long.
