LordChaverly
I was rather disappointed by this news, as I rather like the US as it is - i.e. a big country with plenty of space to move around in (and indeed to live very comfortably in). Having lived in the US, I appreciate the importance of having lots of space. Indeed, I wish the UK had a much smaller population. Unfortunately, the UK population also appears to be growing fast. I wish more attention would be given to the impact of demography on the quality of life. http://today.reuters.co.uk/news/articlenews.aspx?type=worldNews&storyid=2006-10-17T145913Z_01_N17292304_RTRUKOC_0_UK-LIFE-USA-300MILLION.xml&src=rss
nick2
300 million is not a huge number for a country the size of the US though is it ?
bladesufc1
we'll be living on different planets by then, and we'll take over the universe AGAIN
fr8neck
If you could sell each of them a pair of socks you'd be quite well off. I thought there were more than that already (about 350 million), who counts them and how do they know they're right?
downtroad
I think there is plenty of space left in the US The vast majority of the country is not inhabited.

downtroad
Thats one of the things I like about it Even if you doubled the population there would still be huge areas with not a soul... and those areas would be some of the most beautiful So i am sure you can like it for a year or two more
downtroad
It is amazing to see how fast city sprawl happens in the US. The speed of development is a sight to behold. It's spreading up and out at a crazy pace. Town seem to pop up along the train station routes fast than teenage girls are popping out babies. artisan
Just got back from a hol in Fuerteventura. To be able to drive through fabulous scenery with hardly another vehicle in sight is fantastic. Beaches miles long with no one to spoil them. Here we are in England, jammed like sardines in a tin. Why people want to come and live here is beyond me.
