The US population is now over 300 million

Recommended Posts

I was rather disappointed by this news, as I rather like the US as it is - i.e. a big country with plenty of space to move around in (and indeed to live very comfortably in). Having lived in the US, I appreciate the importance of having lots of space. Indeed, I wish the UK had a much smaller population. Unfortunately, the UK population also appears to be growing fast. I wish more attention would be given to the impact of demography on the quality of life.

Just got back from a hol in Fuerteventura. To be able to drive through fabulous scenery with hardly another vehicle in sight is fantastic.

Beaches miles long with no one to spoil them.

Here we are in England, jammed like sardines in a tin.

Why people want to come and live here is beyond me.
