Mandem
How come the adverts on the television, and in the papers say its a triple rollover tonight, of about £20 million, and that 'IT MUST BE WON' how do they know this, surely if no-one has the winning numbers then it can't be won, UNLESS they have way of making sure it is won !!! DaFoot
I think I heard if 6 numbers aren't matched then it will be shared by all those matching 5 and so on. On TV news.

You are right BBC News link I don't understand why it has to be won though? It's always been 6 numbers for a jackpot win, why change it now? Sounds a little suspect
Guest Mod_Man
Let Virgin run the lottery, they want to do it without making a profit yet twice have lost out to Camelot.
Himupnorth
£20m for a triple rollover. Used to be that for a single rollover at one time, when there was no midweek draw or extra games like Thunderball. I think some of these schemes have actually backfired, because I know of people who used to buy a Saturday ticket now don't buy any, because they think Camelots got too greedy

Trying to rekindle interest I'd guess. Though with a regular jackpot of 2->5 million...not like that's a small amount of money!

Thats what I thought really but a Quadruple rollover would probably generate just as much interest. My understanding is that on massive Jackpots you don't get all the money at one time anyway? You could become an economic force suddenly if you won £20million so you can either have lots of smaller payoffs or one large one (but not the full jackpot)? I'm willing to stand corrected on this if it isn't true though.
