sufc_tom
Its very rare that professional footballers are shown credit for doing something sportsmanly (probably because it happens rarely!) but I would like to give Anton Ferdinand a huge proverbial pat on the back for how he reacted to the German U21 who called him a "monkey" to his face last night after a challenge. If someone had said something as offensive to me during the heat and adrenaline of a game like last night I am not so sure I could handle my temper...just ask Zinadine he can vouch for that. However, Anton kept his head and channeled this into a great display and reported the incident to the UEFA delegate at the end of the game. Professionalism that I commend. Well done Anton and the rest of the boys.
