fierysatsuma
Does anyone know why there are loads of mushrooms growing on my lawn. Just wondered if it was anything to do with time of year and wet weather?

taxman
The fungus itself lives under the soil, what you are seeing are its fruiting bodies, akin to apples on a tree and now is the time they come up. Good eating if you know for certain what they are!! (deadly if you don't)

Grahame
It can be caused by rotting wood under the soil. Put Epsom Salts on them.

Don't see why anyone would want to get rid of them, they'll only be here for a few weeks then you won't see them again until next year
