Advice on working as a PA

Recommended Posts

PA's can earn a good wage, it depends which sector you look at. Higher up in the public industry is well paid, as well as being a PA for a private Director. You need to be the top of what you do - not only do you need a great memory, you also need 100% knowledge of the company and you need to know all those little tricks in computer packages like Outlook and Word, and especially know how to make a document look good. You also need nowadays to have some knowledge of computerised diary management. I am a senior receptionist but have done PA work in the past. As long as you are prepared to 'go the extra mile' and be forward thinking, you can make an impression that will translate into potentially higher wages.
