Harry1000
Roll up! Roll up! Visit any event in Sheffield's past, what would it be? The world student games? The moment the electric lights came on for the first time on the Moor? The Sheffield Blitz as seen from the top of the Star building? A band you had the tickets to see but never made it to the venue for what ever reason?

To ask them how they got here, why they came and to see what their cottage looks like.

poppins
Id like to go back in the 50s and take some inhalers with me to help my Dad breathe properly, many men back then had pulmonary problems before Sheffield became smokless and smoking was OK, then it was too late. Inhalers were not heard of back then.

According to my brother there was a longley hall. I really need to get into him and get a history of the family, because I hardly know anything about it. I was told that we`re direct descendants of the duke of Devonshire but I cant even remember who told me that. My parents died when i was a kid so i missed out on a lot of family history.
