Hi, i recently put a mobile phone up for sale on eBay.

Here is a LINK to a thread on here.

Ive been scammed and i am now expected to pay fees of £37.83 because of how much it has apparently sold for!!

Here is an email i got from the "winning" bid.

Hi there,

I'm happy to win the auction for your item. I have been looking for exactly something like this for my sister.Actually, i'm giving it to her as her birthday gift.

lm must have mistakely 999 instead of £99 (sorry) lm will to pay £50 ( postage and packaging via Royal Mail International Signed For) included

I apologise for having to tell you to ship out of UK, my regrets.

I only just learnt she has just travelled overseas on an official assignment. She's a reporter.

I believe you would be kind enough to help me ship this item to her.

Her shipping info is :

Lucy Shine

c/o AMOO O.S

P.O.box 24742 Mapo,

Ibadan,Oyo state.

23402

Nigeria.

West Africa.

If you have any worries whatsoever, please take a look at my 100% positive feedback. I promise to leave a good feedback for you when we conclude this sale.

I want you to do me a favour. Her favorite color is pink. So could you use a pink paper to wrap it?

Thank you.

Many regards,

Danny xx

Does anyone know how i can claim back my fee's i owe and how to report the user??

Ive only just registered and im a little new to it all.

Many thanks :)

That sounds very dodgy.

First of all, if he says he put £999, how come the only bid he placed was for over a grand?

If you dont get all the money for it (which i can almost guarantee you wont), open up an unpaid dispute after 7 days, then i think they have a futher 7 days to respond to it, after which time if youve not got your money you can get a refund of your fees.

Ive just had to request my fees back for something i sold on there a few weeks ago that they didnt pay for.
