John Hope
Went to my get in my car today only to find the 2 near side tyres were flat to the ground. All in a suspicious pickle I phoned the police, they told me to go back to the car and see if they had been let down or slashed, if they had been let down it wasnt a crime, only a crime if they had been slashed didnt know that. John Hope
I cant see any slashes and the dust caps are still on, I'm going to get a pump from halfords tomorrow ( my electric one wont work) and then take it to the garage on Monday for a proper inspection. I hope its something I've run over ( nails, glass, whatever) and not that some " I don't like you parking here neighbour" as let them down. saxon51
So it's not a crime to go around letting car tyres down? Why did I not know this when I was a kid?
InvalidUser
they had been let down it wasnt a crime, only a crime if they had been slashed didnt know that. The police are a poor source of information on the law.
Lotti
Is this true?! I had been told you were 'stealing air'. I suppose this could be true as a lot of the air pumps at garages are 20p to use.
